About Us
Growing Together in Christ
Hele Road Baptist Church is a warm, welcoming, and outward-looking fellowship based in the Hele area of Torquay—one of the three towns that make up the beautiful English Riviera (Torbay) in South Devon.
Our pastor, Rev. Tim Smith, has faithfully served our church family since September 2007.
Our heart is to be a meaningful source of spiritual, emotional, and practical support within our community—helping people to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and grow into mature, fulfilled followers of Christ.
Our mission: “Moving Forward Together with God.”
We offer a crèche and a variety of activities for children and young people during our Sunday morning service, so there's something for every age.

Regular activities
Join In, Get Involved, Be Encouraged
Worship
We meet every Sunday for worship at 10:30 AM (morning service) and 6:00 PM (evening service). Communion is celebrated monthly during the morning service. Crèche and children's groups are available during the morning service to support families.
Life Groups
Life Groups meet on the 2nd and 4th weeks of each month, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at various locations. These are great opportunities for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer in smaller settings.
Parents & Toddlers
A warm and welcoming group that meets every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the church. A relaxed space for parents and carers with young children to connect and play.
